These were taken on a walk through the neighborhood, to the Brooklyn Promenade where we had also ventured a few years ago on New Year’s Eve and found a police cruiser parked there, broadcasting Christmas songs on the radio over their loudspeaker, and wishing Happy New Year to those who passed by champagne in hand. It had been a beautifully strange, perplexing experience.

This year, the snow stole the show. I particularly like the shot of the pier and section of the Brooklyn Bridge Park below, eerie, blue and soft.
