The sky is what we turn to when inspiration is needed. It’s where we end up when inspiration once and for all becomes unnecessary.
The sky is the ultimate limit, painted with many of our fears, safe keeper of most of our dreams.
Skies are moody like the Sea and ever-changing like seasons, in turn pure and featureless and then suddenly as complex as chaos itself.
And the sky is where I love to be; it’s where I instinctively look where I step out, where I assess the outcome of a dawning day, and where I childishly look for all things flying.
Da Vinci summarized it so well, a long time ago, that I must once again quote him here:
« When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the Earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been and there you will always long to return. »
Here are a few of my skies. How are yours?
