Of daylight and shadows Coriolistic Anachronisms - A Vancouver Blog
Hi, I'm your friendly Coriolibot (as in "ro-bot").
It would seem Vince (shame on him) hasn't posted a fresh entry in a couple of days, so I am here to keep you entertained no matter what!
The post below is a random entry that we hope you haven't read before. Regular current entries follow. Enjoy, and come back soon for brand new posts!
Note: this random entry is served on a per-visit basis and will change if you reload the page. It will also not show up on regular RSS, Feedburner and Twitter feeds.

Sometimes I feel like Gollum, forever fleeing the burning brightness of the Sun. We endlessly seek its heat only to find our skin aging, our eyes blinded and shadows flattened.
There’s no worse light for photography then a bright noon sunlight. Over it I’ll always choose a late afternoon’s warm nuances and lazy shadows.
I wish there was a way to record a moonlight’s rendition of the world. When all the cats are grey, when men are equal, when corruption sleeps and music prevails.
I’ve borrowed a few words from the Finnish band Nightwish:
Two hundred and twenty-two days of light
Will be desired by a night
A moment for the poet’s play
Until there’s nothing left to say...
I wish for this nighttime
To last for a lifetime
The darkness around me
Shores of a solar sea...![]()

« I know how the puffer fish feels... »
Date of comment: 2008-07-16 19:09 •« Is he a squid or a cuttlefish or are they the same thing? »

Hence it’s quite cruel when people make them inflate just for fun.
They’re all cephalopods, though, intelligent, amazing at color shifting and bilaterally symmetrical, except for the fact that they have... 3 hearts! »

« Great shots and captions! They make me miss that place!
Date of comment: 2008-07-17 12:22 •I’ll have to dig up the shot I have of you staring down a barracuda from about 10 cm away and send it to you... »
« Yeah, I’d love to see it! I’ll post it here, we’ll call it « Dumb and dumber. »

Date of comment: 2008-07-17 13:37 •I would REALLY like to see the Barracuda picture. »
« Yommmmmmmmm: feesh!
Date of comment: 2008-07-23 14:08 •Coul’ you please pose’ a peecture ob a sardine? »
« That’s a little difficult, Don Estorbo, as sardines are not a common sighting on the reef. But I’ll see if I can come up with a decent substitute... »
