The day following my trip to Crescent Beach, I headed up to Grouse hoping to be lucky enough to capture the fog bank from above. After all, “La chance, c’est comme le Tour de France: on l’attend longtemps et ça passe vite.” Well, lucky I was. The fog was still crawling all over the city down below; and yet the air at altitude was so clear that I also caught, for the first time ever, a glimpse of distant Mt. Rainier. The volcano is located in the Washington State south of Seattle, 300 km away in a straight line!
