Largest city of the Haute-Savoie French department, Annecy is a smaller, prettier and more idyllic version of nearby Geneva. They each sit at the end of a lake, but Lake Annecy is incredibly beautiful, its crystal-clear waters and sandy beaches reminiscent of the Caribbean.
