Is he a squid or a cuttlefish or are they the same thing?

Puffer: it's actually a porcupinefish; what sucks is that inflating that way is a defense mechanism, a last resort that is extremely hard on its heart and metabolism and weakens it to the point of exhaustion. Hence it's quite cruel when people make them inflate just for fun.
Squid: he's a squid. Cuttlefish are much bigger and wider, and typically stand with their tentacles aimed downwards a bit, like a beard. ;-) They're all cephalopods, though, intelligent, amazing at color shifting and bilaterally symmetrical, except for the fact that they have... 3 hearts!

Great shots and captions! They make me miss that place!
I'll have to dig up the shot I have of you staring down a barracuda from about 10 cm away and send it to you...

Now I feel terrible for puf, I mean porcupine fish! Shame!!! Why don't they have three hearts? What does a cuttlefish need with three hearts? So one gets broken he has another? And another? Are they unfaithful or fragile cephalopods?
I would REALLY like to see the Barracuda picture.

That's a little difficult, Don Estorbo, as sardines are not a common sighting on the reef. But I'll see if I can come up with a decent substitute...
